David and Kevin were commissioned for the Ulster Festival of Art & Design 2015 on a special collaboration called Certain Moments.
The process entailed several explorative sessions. Kevin recorded these sessions using the long-exposure setting on his camera whilst David was playing around with choreographic concepts including refracting movements in space whilst holding lights.
In the image above David was holding the red light in his hand and the white light in his mouth.
The photograph above was the final image that was selected to be used for Certain Moments.
Kevin then created a site specific neon installation which he describes as a ‘human manifestation of the fleeting moments initially performed by Ogle.’
The installation was then exhibited at the Ulster Festival of Art & Design and included a solo performance by David alongside the exhibition entitled Light Mapping.
